Bilberry extract is a relative of the blueberry and is high in anthocyanins, which have shown to decrease blood sugar levels and improve insulin sensitivity. Bilberries seem to increase an enzyme which plays a crucial role in insulin secretion from the pancreas and regulation of fatty acid metabolism.

Luo Han Guo (luohanguo) refers to the fruit of Siraitia grosvenori, formerly called Momordica grosvenori, a member of the Curcubitaceae (1).
