What an MD Can Learn from a Traditional Chinese Medical Practitioner

Traditional Chinese Medicine, also referred to as TCM is what acupuncturists traditionally study. It encompasses dietary recommendations, acupuncture, herbs and other modalities such as cupping, moxibustion, gua sha and some tui na, or body work. We listen to the patient and determine what in our bag of tools might be the most beneficial in helping our patients reach their health care goals.

This is an interesting account from Psychology Today of an MD who returned to his roots to follow Traditional Chinese Medical Practitioners and saw first hand just how Traditional Chinese Medicine works.
